Optics Design Intern
Work with the brightest minds, including ex-ISRO scientists and global space industry experts, at one of the select few companies in the country pioneering cutting edge EO payloads.
This role will actively contribute to the design of Optical Payloads (both reflective and refractive telescopes) or Test setups for EO satellite missions. The role involves hands-on engineering exposure and close collaboration with experienced optics and systems engineers.

Responsibilities
- Support the design of optical systems for electro-optical payloads and optical test setups
- Assist in assembly, alignment, integration, and testing of optical payloads
- Participate in concept development and methodology development for payloads or test configurations
- Perform optical analysis, documentation, and performance evaluation
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams during development and testing phase
Qualifications

Skills
- Strong understanding of geometrical optics and physical optics
- Basic knowledge of reflective and refractive optical systems
- Fundamentals of aberration theory and image formati
- Introductory understanding of radiometry and photometry
- Awareness of stray light and scattering mechanisms (theoretical level)
- Basic exposure to ray tracing, spot diagrams, PSF, MTF, and tolerance concepts
- Understanding of optical alignment and testing principles (collimation, focus, tilt, decentre)
