Roles and Responsibilities
FPGA Hardware Support
- To design and implement supporting circuitry required to keep the FPGA functional, including power supplies, clocking, reset, and I/O interfacing.
- To work on clocking systems (oscillators, PLLs, and 1PPS synchronization).
- To ensure robust connectivity using industry-standard connectors and interfaces.
Signal Conditioning & Instrumentation (added advantage)
- To work with transistor- and op-amp–based analog circuits for sensing, amplification, filtering, and buffering of signals.
- To assist in design of instrumentation front-ends for sensor interfacing and data acquisition.
Board-Level Design
- To participate in schematic design, PCB layout review, and bring-up of custom boards.
- To collaborate in testing, debugging, and validation of hardware at the lab bench.
Collaboration
- To work closely with FPGA/embedded software engineers for system integration.
- To document designs, test procedures, and results in a structured manners.
Qualifications
- B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, or related fields.
- Fresh graduates or candidates with up to 6 months of relevant internship/project experience.
Must have
- Strong fundamentals in electronics circuit design (analog + digital).
- Knowledge of FPGA hardware requirements (power rails, clocks, resets, I/O standards).
- Understanding of LDOs, regulators, oscillators, and signal integrity basics.
- Familiarity with sensors, op-amp circuits, and analog front-end design.
- Proficiency with schematic capture tools (e.g., KiCAD, Altium, OrCAD) — academic experience acceptable.
- Ability to use lab instruments (oscilloscope, multimeter, logic analyzer, power supply).
Good to have
- Exposure to FPGA development tools (Xilinx, Intel/Altera, Lattice).
- Knowledge of communication interfaces (USART, SPI, I2C, CAN, Ethernet PHY).
- Understanding of basic power electronics (DC-DC converters).
- Understanding of basic power electronics (DC-DC converters).
